Pune (India), August 29, 2006: The brutal and inhumane killing of 80-year old
veteran Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti - a powerful chief of the Bugti tribe and
head of Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP)- by Pakistan Establishment is a big setback for
the aspirations of the people of Baluchistan.

Kashmir Bachao Andolan, Pune based think-tank and publishers of the Web-newspaper,
\'The Kashmir Telegraph\', are deeply perturbed by this premeditated cold-blooded
murder and condemn it in strongest of terms.

We join the people of Baluchistan in condemning this brutal outrage on the Baloch
people, Romeet K Watt, Chief Editor, \'The Kashmir Telegraph\' said.

\"Nawab Akbar Bugti martyrdom will inspire the Baloch people in fighting against the
inequality and oppression of the Baloch people by Pakistan and its tyrant Punjabi
institutions.\" Watt added.

The Kashmir Telegraph firmly believes that no civilised Nation can remain a mute
spectator to the gross rights violation of the people of Baluchistan and its
inspiring leadership.

Watt also added that such inhumane acts by the Pakistan Establishment was not in any
way any interference in the internal affairs of a country because Nawab Akbar Bugti
held important government positions in Baluchistan and could by no stretch of
imagination be compared to a terrorist killed in an encounter.

\"We call upon the people of Baluchistan to wage a decisive battle against the
Pakistan Establishment to free themselves from the clutches of inequality and
oppression\" urged Kashmir Telegraph Chief Editor
